Russell Tobin's client is hiring an HR Payroll Coordinator in Dallas, TX

Pay rate: $25-$28/hr
Responsibilities:
- Processes and supports all wage garnishments.
- Assists with processing, balancing, and transmitting payrolls to and from ADP for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly disbursements across the U.S. and Canada for 40,000 employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Handles processes such as new hires, STD, wage assignments, relocation, expatriate compensation, additional pay, bonuses, commissions, direct deposits, pay cards, and final pay for terminations.
- Ensures automated timekeeping hours files are processed and balanced.
- Calculates and creates out-of-sequence pay entries for corrections.
- Manages tax and GL processes for accurate reporting to ADP and Accounting, troubleshooting errors for resolution.
- Frequently interacts with various departments.
- Assists with payroll, tax, and benefit reconciliations and audits.
- Creates, tracks, and resolves service requests with third-party payroll providers.
- Supports training needs for incoming payroll staff.
- Identifies critical pay tickets to determine the need for on-demand pay cards/checks and processes emergency payments.
- Addresses incoming inquiries from the ticketing system, employees, stakeholders, or regulatory agencies and escalates internally as needed.
- Stays informed on payroll and HR policies and procedures.
- Ensures adherence to applicable state, local, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Follows prescribed procedures and workflow.
- Generates employee pay detail reports as needed for HR, Legal, and Compliance requests.
- Provides excellent customer service to employees and coworkers.
- Performs general clerical duties related to payroll, including handling incoming mail.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 3+ years of payroll experience.
- Experience in wage garnishment processing.
- Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, or payroll reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of payroll impacts on payroll tax and accounting.
- Ability to create and modify reports using GlobalView reports.
- Experience in multi-state payroll processing in a fast-paced, large-volume environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Confident in engaging in various communication modes with strong active listening skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) from the American Payroll Association (APA).
